MyMolina Site Redesign

We had the opportunity to redesign the Molina Healthcare experience. After several weeks of design thinking and several sprints, we landed on a look and feel stakeholders felt spoke the right brand language.

Background
Molina is a managed care company headquartered in Long Beach, California, United States. The company provides health insurance to individuals through government programs such as Medicaid, Medicare and Gov. Marketplace.

The Ask
Molina specifically wanted to modernize the look and user experience of MyMolina – the customer-facing portal through which individuals across the country accessed their benefits.

Our Solution
•Our approach customized the approach based on the three main user-buckets depending on the type of insurance they received and was also adapted for state-by-state.

•We developed the portal to be fully responsive given the users’ high propensity to use mobile and depending on the task users wanted to achieve desktop as well.

•We provided a fully end-to-end partnership delivering in Hybrid-Agile.

Early Design Thoughts

We started from the ground up while pushing off Molina’s existing design system. These are examples of lofi fidelity wireframes that made the cut.

Site Design

After experimenting with several different colorways and design tiles, we landed on a cool inviting human feel.
The design system was an update to their previous colder colors. The Molina management, based on our data insights felt a greener blue evoked trust with their customers.
